Small Animal Emergency Services is an emergency veterinary hospital for dogs and cats located in Vass, North Carolina.  We are part of the Sandhills Pet Services with the Sandhills Pet Resort and the Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic. 
 
We are located in  Moore County North Carolina. We serve the immediate area including Southern Pines, Aberdeen, Vass, and Pinehurst, as well as, the surrounding counties of Montgomery, Hoke and Lee.

Meet Our Team

  1. Dr. Ann Turner 
DVM
    Ann Turner has always been an animal lover and drawn to emergency medicine. She stresses that her number one priority is the patients and their owners! Dr. Turner received her Associates of Science at NWC in Powell, WY and Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology at the University of Wyoming. She then went on to Fort Collins, CO where she earned her DVM from Colorado State University.

  2. Dr. Tim Staudt
Associate Veterinarian
    Tim attended Edinboro University of Pa where he received his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology-Pre-Veterinary Medicine with minors in Mathematics and Chemistry. He decided to attend North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He graduated from NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine May 2001,

  3. Dr. William Hodges
Associate Veterinarian
    William Hodges graduated at Texas A&M. Bill is a proud resident of League City, Texas. His family ranch, with reining horses and cattle, in Santa Fe, Texas, opened his first doors to veterinary medicine. He started college at Texas A&M (TAMU) in Galveston then continued at TAMU in College Station where he received his B.S. degree in Animal Science.

  4. Alan J. Rose, Veterinary Assistant - Head Nurse In Charge
    Born in Canada, Alan moved to Southern Pines, NC in the mid 1980s. Alan has been with Small Animal Emergency Services since October 2007 and has found his niche, caring and assisting for the dogs and cats requiring his attention and expertise! Alan is a “Mr. Mom” during the week for his wife, 2 daughters, 5 fish, 2 cats and 1 dog. He enjoys trying to help all of our pets stay healthy, guess which breeds make up your mixed breed dog, and practice his Rock-n-Roll trivia!
